Keith A. Leitich is a political analyst focusing on Central and East Asia based in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Leitich's main research interests are ethnic conflict and migration in the former Soviet Union and religiousity in South Korea

Mr. Leitich has taught at Arkansas State University and North Seattle Community College. Mr. Leitich has also had the opportunity to guest lecture in Khujand, Tajikistan. He was a recipient of a Korean Foundation Fellowship. Mr. Leitich has presented papers at conferences in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Mr. Leitich has widely published, including articles in: the Review of Korean Studies, the Journal of Central Asian Studies, the International Journal of Central Asian Studies, the International Education Forum, Education and Contemporary Education. He has also contributed chapters to: the History of Buddhism in Asia; Social Policy in Transition in Asia and the Pacific, Vol. 1; Geopolitics of Central Asia in the Post-Cold War Era: A Systemic Analysis; History behind the Headlines: The Origins of Conflicts Worldwide and Weapons and Warfare. He is also a contibutor to Guanxi: The China Letter.

Mr. Leitich received a B.A. in Political Science From Iowa State University, an M.A. in Political Science and a Specialist degree in Community College Teaching from Arkansas State University. He has also studied at Yonsei University and Washington State University. He has conducted research in South Korea, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. He is also a recipient of a Korea Foundation Language Training Fellowship and has consulted for Centra Technology.

Mr. Leitich has lived in Seoul, South Korea and Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He has also traveled widely throughout Asia, visiting: Australia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Keith Leitich is married to Jamilya Muhamadieva and they reside in Seattle, Washington.
